The Akita---What a noble and majestic breed that has captured the heart of so many people. We are pleased to not only enjoy this great breed ourselves, but pleased when we see others enjoy the puppies that we raise. We have worked hard at developing puppies that are not only beautiful to look at, but also are a joy to be around. On top of that, these dogs perform many functions from being used as police dogs, sled dogs, watch dogs, show dogs, and all-around great companions.
However, the Akita is not for the faint of heart. This is a rugged breed that was bred for years with an instinct to chase and hunt. It takes a "pack leader" to own this breed, and if you are not, they will wind up owning you! They are smart and bold and if you are the right type of individual, they will respect you, love you, and protect you.
There is nothing like being able to watch one of these small cuddly "teddy bears" grow up into a good friend that you can wrap your arms around and give a big bear hug to.
We have been breeding high quality Akitas for over 30 years. We believe that puppies must be well-socialized, so we spend numerous hours with each and every puppy. By the time you receive your puppy, he/she has spent lots of time running outside, growing strong, and learning how to love people.
